What Does 'Level of Cover' mean?

A policy’s “level of cover” is the amount of money you receive if the insured person were to die whilst the policy is in force. Or to put it another way, it’s the sum you insure a person’s life for.

For Mortgage Life insurance the initial level of life cover must always equal the outstanding capital sum on your mortgage.
